Each year the GVHBA organizes Coats for Kids in support of the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau helping to gather coats and blankets for families who are without access to them, sharing a little warmth and kindness in the cold winter months. Donations of unwrapped gifts also help to spread a little Christmas cheer to those less fortunate and put some smiles on children's faces for a happy holiday.
2014 marks the 19th annual Coats for Kids campaign and this year the theme is "Zippers Zipping, Buttons Buttoning and Hoodies for Teens".
The Coats for Kids program accepts gently used:
- Coats
- Blankets
- Scarves
- Gloves
- Other Clothing
- New, Unwrapped Toys and Gifts
