Knowledge is Power: Building Education Opportunities with Duradek

As the leader in single-ply sheet waterproofing, Duradek knows a thing or two about waterproofing best-practices, particularly when it comes to waterproofing decks over living space. A proud member of the building and construction industry, Duradek takes an active role in passing along the specialized knowledge in deck waterproofing acquired over the last 40 years. Duradek is an AIA Continuing Education provider, and while anyone can access Duradek's course on Walkable Roof Deck Membranes from the Duradek website, Hanley Wood Online University or AEC Daily Online Learning, attending this course in person allows the advantage of asking direct questions to a Duradek expert.

Construction Specifications Institute SLC Chapter Annual Symposium

Tuesday, May 14th the Salt Lake City Chapter of the CSI celebrates 50 years at the CSI Annual Symposium, taking place at the Ray Olpin Union Building at the U of UA. This is an excellent forum for the exchange of ideas to work toward a common goal of sustaining the built environment. With a variety of presenters, attendees can earn up to 4 Learning Units in this one day of professional development.

Duradek of Utah's Matt McClure will be there to answer any questions you may have about sheet vinyl waterproofing and why it can be a better choice than traditional torch-on methods of waterproofing a roof deck. Matt is also very experienced with Duradek's under tile waterproofing solution, Tiledek. If you want to know how to install a SUCCESSFUL tile deck, talk to Matt!

The Blue Book Building & Construction Network

Thursday, May 9th was The Blue Book Building and Construction Network's day of hosting continued education. It took place at the Turner Field in Atlanta, GA. This event was a full day of exhibitors and presenters, offering attendees a chance to earn up to 4 AIA Learning Units free of charge...including lunch!

Duradek's Atlanta Representative Norm Shafer was there to provide education on our PVC membranes and to present Duradek's "Walkable Roof Deck Membranes" course where 28 architects were able to gain 1 Learning Unit, and discover what makes the Duradek difference.
